The tire belt. Where the rubber meets the waist.

Keep your pants up, bikers.

This whole radio ban battle has us so worked up we feel like belting someone.

Let’s do it in style, right? This piece of cool gear is from the Uncommon goods website and Twisted Spoke thinks you should buckle down and get one.

Handmade in Portland, Oregon from recycled rubber road tires, each belt is a one of a kind — goes without saying, right? The buckle is nickel-plated steel and the vibe just reeks of coolness. Good for discipling the kids, too — ahh, just kidding social workers.

Artist belt creator Julien Jaborska got the idea after working in a bike shop for a few years and watching all that rubber go to town dump. “I put some up for sale on that wonderful creation we call the internet, and the next thing I knew, orders were rolling in,” he says. He also has a site called Rebicyclist which has some really cook photos.

You need this belt because for godsakes, you’ve been training so hard you dropped another three pounds. Pants are falling off your hyperfit body. Fix that, willya?

This looks much more successful than my condom company is set up in '97… I figured I could make inexpensive, ultra durable condoms out of used bike tubes (Latex, Butyl & Thornproof models… )….Unfortunately, the numerous complaints about the large knots I needed to tie on the ends, and the serious lack of sensitivity sunk the company in short order…or maybe it was due to the fact that the product didn't fit into a wallet.
I'm currently looking for investor seed money to develop my line of used saddle cod pieces.

I need one to flay myself with for my stupidly garrulous Strade Bianche comment!
