A few weeks later their mountain domestique young Matthew Busche won the US Road Race championship. Today in Utah, Leipheimer fought off the vicious attacks of the Colombians to win the Tour of Utah.
So, the question becomes, what will they do in the Tour of Colorado? Can they dominate the entire domestic calendar when it comes to the big stage races?
Horner is still nursing injuries and dealing with a scary and painful blood clot — an after-effect of his hard crash in stage seven of the Tour de France. Janez Brajkovic and Andreas Kloden are off to the Vuelta. You have to wonder if Levi isn’t just a bit worn out to take the win in Colorado.
