Okay, little chest thumping here.
The premiere issue of Paved Magazine , the road spin-off put out by Joe Parkin and his crew at Bike Magazine is now for sale.
I suggest you pick up at least three copies. One to read, one for the bathroom and one for bedside. Inside Paved you’ll find, among other great stories, our interview with Garmin Transitions’ Tyler Farrar. We got a decent chunk of time with him during the Tour de France rest day in Morzine.
Hopefully, it won’t read like the usual sports interview because we talked with Tyler exclusively about his interest in Eastern Philosophy. He’s an extremely thoughtful and curious guy with alot going on besides a blistering final 1000 meters.
There’s also some awesome photography and a feature by Parkin himself, the author of the well-received book A Dog In A Hat, about the Tour of Flanders.
Twisted SPoke gives the whole issue four stars and four chapeaux. And really, years from now, you want to be able to say yeah, I been reading Paved since day one.
Will it be available in Europe by any chance? (American bookstore in Amsterdam perhaps?)
Would hate to miss this, Matt. You’ve come a long way 😉
Henkio, I've been wondering where you are. Well, check wherever you can get Bike Magazine and Paved might be there. I will post the whole interview in a week or two after the magazine has been out of a while. Thanks for the compliment. It's been a wild ride so far and I'm excited to see just how far I can go. Bikes take you everywhere, same goes for bike blogs.
