Virtue. The $300 dollar single speed!

Virtue. Affordable.

A San Diego bike company named Virtue is putting out a single speed and a 6 speed that are both under $300. Possible, misprint, attention getting fabrication?

The Virtue 1 is described as “a cruiser without the weight” with wide handlebar and coaster brake wheels and runs on townie 700c tires.

The Virtue 6 sports a 6 Speed Shimano Drive-Train and Tektro Brake-System, wide Porteur alloy handlebar and riveted seat.

The price for these chromoly beauties is a thrilling head-snap but the sad part is the size. They offer only a 52 and 56cm frame — a disaster for anyone in the tall category. It’s also a far cry from the new 65 cm Leonard Zinn inspired KHS Flite road bike.

Maybe next year Virtue will build a bigger bike — that would be an additional Virtue.
