Neo-pro and 20 year old race revelation Peter Sagan of the Italian Liquigas team has won two stages in the Tour of California. He went into todays time trial knowing he’d lose his third place overall.
Still he had his supporters among the huge crowds at the finish line in downtown Los Angeles. These two Liquigas girls, the sexy ladies of lime, we’re generous enough to pose with Sagan’s special time trial bike.
The Italian team is know for their flashy bikes — sprinter Francesco Chicchi made a huge splash with his “Sheriff” Wild West theme Cannondale.
Sagan however opted to go old school and Cali coo, riding a vintage Haro BMX bike. It was a measure of the Slovakian’s astonishing power that he still finished in the top 20, just 1:47 off the winning time of HTC-Columbia’s Tony Martin.
