Bright bike. How illuminating.

The bright bike is uhh, bright.

You want a flashy bike? No, we mean an extremely flashy bike.

Mike Mandiberg wrapped his entire bike in 3M Scotchlite 680 vinyl and the results were definitely on the bright side. It’s an amazing work of illumination. Check out the demo video here.

The really cool effect is that the Scotchlite is black in daylight but at nighttime when it’s hit by bright lights, the vinyl turns bright white and hyper reflective.

The Scotchlite isn’t cheap: a roll will set you back around $116 dollars. However, it appears there are now kits you can buy from brightthread.com or from Beacon Graphics.
