UCI buys more domain names to counter breakaway league.

McQuaid on offense again.

Initial reports indicated that the UCI’s Global Cycling Group attempted to thwart the breakaway league by buying up several of the potential internet domain names.

The proposed league is being put together by the Rothchild and Gifted Group would set up a tour called the World Series Cycling. However, the GCG has attacked quickly to buy up the names worldseriescycling.com, worldseriescycling.net and worldseriescycling.org, so the breakaway league can’t use them.

According to informed sources, Twisted Spoke has now learned that the UCI’s Global Cycling Group has bought at least a dozen other domain names in a concerted effort to outwit and infuriate the Rothchild and Gifted Groups.

The list of domain purchases includes: worldseriesanythingwithbikes.com, killvaughtersplans.com, patmcquaidsaysno.net, breakawaymyass.com, shutyourmouthbruyneel.com, ucidictatorforlife.org, notsharingrevenue.com, rothchildishidea.com and asobetterstayinline.com,

    This news really amazed me. I think we can agree on the fact that this is a very childish action. It is most certainly something I was not expecting of a proper international sports union/federation… Furthermore, a waste of money it is too, since the combination of desired words and a smart person with imagination will quickly lead to a combinatorial explosion of perfectly good URLs for the initiative.
