Dennis. Yellow.
So far the 2015 clock has been good for Dennis Rohan (BMC Racing). Respect from old school Jamaican DJ Toaster Yellow Man.
Until Bradley Wiggins topped his mark a few months ago, Rohan held the Hour Record. Now he has the 14:56 Record in Utrecht, Netherlands.
That record in the 13.8 kilometer time trial put Rohan in yellow and gave a big boost for a BMC Racing team that hopes to put Tejay van Garderen onto the podium. It was also an impressive preview of what might happen on stage nine, the 28 kilometer Team Time Trial from Vannes to Pumelec.
BMC will be flying and might knock out a nice little time gap for Van Garderen with the American and Dennis powering the squad. After all, Dennis set the fastest Tour de France TT of all time, clocking an average speed of 55.4 kph, beating the time of Englishman Chris Boardman back in Lilli in 1994.

Tony Martin (Etixx-Quickstep) and Fabian Cancellara (Trek Racing) both looked strong but faded on the back half. The German would finish five second back with Spartacus another second in arrears. Cancellara hinted it might be his last Tour and the memory of coming up six second short of one last maillot jaune may take a while to shake. Local favorite Tom Dumoulin of Team Giant-Alpecin just missed the first podium at eight seconds back.
On the GC show, it was all-round bike handling master — and defending champion — Vincenzo Nibali — who laid down the best time of the Fab Four at 22nd place. That put him seven seconds up on Chris Froome (Sky), 15 seconds on Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) and 18 second on Nairo Quintana. That puts the Colombian in close whereabouts to Nibali.
Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) and Tejay van Garderen (BMC), who make up the Sensational Six, both did well today. They’re two and one second ahead of the Shark from Messina. An very good way to start their podium bids. However Romain Bardet was off the pace and finds himself in 145th place, almost a minute behind his podium rivals.
