Trek Segafredo. Get sexy with pro cycling?

Segafredo soigneurs?

Trek’s star rider Fabian Cancellara may be retiring after this year but new sponsor Segafredo might potentially make the team even more exciting.

The Italian coffee brand, cafe and nightclub enterprise is considering bringing sex appeal to a team that has lost its luster after a few disappointing seasons.

Drawing beautiful young female talent from their club on Brickell Avenue in Miami, the team could possibly bring in dynamic new soigneurs and support staff.

The club, described as “a quintessential Italian cafĂ© by day and sophisticated lounge by night … pays homage to the exemplary Italian lifestyle of living life from day to day in a celebratory way.”

The sassy new image will take Trek to the next level with a truly WorldTour style. “These ladies are super hot and when that team bus pulls up, the crowds will surround Fabian and the girls,” said freelance impresario Vic Parodi, who has worked with the club in the past. “It’s a rolling party with great Italian espresso, signature cocktails and podium panache.”

New appeal for cycling?

With the imminent departure of Russian millionaire showman Oleg Tinkov from pro cycling, Trek Segafredo may well step into the entertainment vacuum. “Miami has the hottest women in the world, everybody knows that,” says Parodi. “And really, how hard is it to be a soigneur? It’s a massage, folks — anybody can do that.”

While Team Sky prides itself on their professional “carers,” the Trek Segafredo team may have a more high style, party approach according to Parodi. “This is exciting. I think pro cycling needs this. Really, I don’t know what Trek and Segafredo have as far as specific plans. It’s really just a big idea I had,” says Parodi. “They haven’t said yes but then again they haven’t said no, right?”

Will Trek Segafredo decide to pump up the sex appeal? The spotlight is definitely on.
