Mario Cipollini, machismo and an airplane joke.

Macho man?

Mario Cipollini dropped his machismo is dead quote on the cycling world and achieved the desired effect.

He did it for the same reason he does everything: more attention for Super Mario, the aging Lion King. As such, there’s really no deep analysis required about who’s tough and who ain’t.

However, when taking about Italian machismo, it’s perhaps amusing and constructive to tell the following joke about a plane ride.

“The turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wing is struck by lightning. One woman in particular loses it. Screaming, she stands up in the front of the plane. “I’m too young to die,” she wails.

Then she yells, “Well, if I’m going to die, I want my last minutes on earth to be memorable!

Is there ANYONE on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?”

For a moment there is silence. Everyone has forgotten their own peril. They all stared, riveted, at the desperate woman in the front of the plane. Then an Italian man stands up in the rear of the plane. He is gorgeous: tall, well built, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time.

No one moves.

He removes his shirt.

Muscles ripple across his chest.

She gasps…

He whispers:
“Iron this, and get me something to eat..”

I'll accept that compliment but it's not my joke. Still, a good one. Matt

    Now that's Italian foreplay-bada bing!

Ahh, the old Bada-Bing Club from the Sopranos. How I long for a place like that in my neighborhood and a wife that will let me hang out there every night. Matt

Yeah, that would be cool – a neighborhood drinking club, with a cycling problem! My wife AND kids wouldn't go for that. I guess we are lucky our wives and kids like having us around! Enjoy your family Matt.

There you go! Aldo Sassi said the same thing before his death to Riccaro Ricco — family is everything. MMatt
