LeQuatre to Bretagne-Schuller.

LeQuatre rides to Brittany.

“Live like an avant-garde athlète!”

That’s the call to action on Geoffrey LeQuatre’s cycling apparel website. The Frenchman in Radio Shack is moving on and plans to sign with Professional Continental team Bretagne-Schuller next year.

That doesn’t sound like a step up, but then maybe he’ll do fine reuniting with his former directeur sportif at Agritubel, Manu Hubert. “We have agreed in principle and will now finalize the details,” said the team’s manager Joël Blévin.

Jeff TheFour is not only a pro rider but a business entrepreneur. He remains the only pro ever to have his own signature umbrella and now has his name on a comprehensive line of cycling gear and casual clothes. The fractured translation on his G4 site  (the G is for Geoffrey and quatre is 4 in French) has an amusing charm.

He based his brand on what we calls his “real experiences, on profound research and feelings with philosophy.” You gotta love that kind of kooky vibe.

Lequatre won the 2008 Tour of Britain with Agritubel. He did well at this year’s Paris-Tours and Paris-Bourges not to mention a third place at the French time trial championships in June.

Famed team manager Johan Bruyneel gets the Brothers Schleck and Fabian Cancellara in the Leopard merger. But sadly for him, he loses Jeff TheFour.

G4 Dimension cycling kit is my husband's favourite. He says it's the most comfortable he's ever worn and in his wardrobe he's got all the major top notch brands including Assos and Rapha. It washes and wears like a dream. So maybe you should try it before knocking it!

Sheree, Sheree, I contacted G4 last year trying to get a jersey and big to review but they just werent' ready to hand them out. I'm not knocking Geoffrey — I am a fan of all things French and was a French major in college. I'm still working on them to let me test them out. Best, Matt
